My name is Pasha. I am a female, though the name itself is unisex. I love my title because that is what it is, a title. For males it means Lord or King, females Lady or Queen, depending on one's faith. :)
There is also a type of butterfly called the two-tailed Pasha (its Latin name is Charaxes Jasius). It is the only double-tailed butterfly found in Europe. Not sure where its name came from - probably the Russian pet name :)

I really love this name for a girl. It's unique sounding, and rather cute. Pasha is the name of a character in the movie "Whip It". She is called Pash for short.
I hate this name. It makes me think of pashas, which were racist Turkish officials in the Ottoman Empire. They were responsible for the Armenian Genocide. This name sounds like something that Turkish nationalists who hate Greeks, Armenians, Kurds, and Jews would choose for their kids.
