Meaning & History
Derived from Greek πᾶς (pas) meaning "all, every, each" combined with the rare Greek adjective χάσιος (chasios) meaning "good".Since the advent of Christianity, this name has been strongly associated with Easter, due to its resemblance with the Greek noun Πάσχα (Pascha) meaning "Easter" as well as "Passover". For that specific context, it must be said that there is no relation with the Greek verb πάσχω (pascho) meaning "to undergo, to experience" as well as "to suffer", even though early Christians thought that these words were etymologically related.
