Palmira

Palmira Jaquetti I Isant (1895-1963) was a Catalan folklorist, poet, businesswoman, composer, musicologist, ethnologist and writer. Her work is documented in a collection at the National Library of Catalonia.

Palmira Ríos (born 1956) is an Afro-Puerto Rican academic who has worked as a professor in New York, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. She has served as a commissioner and president of the Puerto Rican Civil Rights Commission, the first person of color or woman to be appointed to the government body.

Palmira Bastos (1875–1967) was one of the best-known Portuguese stage actors in the first half of the 20th century. Palmira Bastos's debut as an actress took place on 18 July 1890 at the Teatro da Rua dos Condes, when she received an ovation for her performance.
