Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin (anglicised Enya Patricia Brennan), known mononymously as Enya, is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician. Noted for her modern Celtic music, she is a best-selling Irish solo artist and the second-best-selling Irish musical act overall after the rock band U2.
Can also be pronounced Paw-ri-keen, which I, embarassingly, found out when I told my friend I hated the name and she told me she had an aunty called Pádraigín.
Pronounced Paw-drig-een. I hate this name. It is an awful country name that would be cruel to call your child. Pádaigín literally means 'little Patrick'.
