Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. I named my baby girl Ori Jean and everyone loves the name. But we pronounce it AW-ree like the O makes the sound as in ought.
Ori can really be unisex. My Rabbi's son is Ori, and I'm sure if you wanted you can use it for a girl as well.

It comes from the Hebrew "or" or "ur", meaning "light." It appears in the word Menorah, kind of candle holder (the special one for Channukah is called a hanokia). I have a friend named Or, and the meaning is pretty ironic, since he's the most morbid person I know.
Oren is the perfect name for a December baby. Oren means "pine tree". An easy, natural nickname for Oren is "Ori" or "Orey", which means "light". So, for December babes, you have a little "lighted pine tree" in honor of Christmas.
Ori was one of the dwarves who accompanied Bilbo Baggins and Thorin Oakenshield to Erebor (aka the Lonely Mountain) in The Hobbit. He had two brothers named Nori and Dori.
