There was an Octavius in my Fifth Grade homeroom, he went by tavi.
This is my dad’s name and I’m sure after six decades he doesn’t feel this strongly but he hated it growing up. Which is completely understandable, that’s a heavy name to carry as a child. Even today he’ll use Ock or our last name which is also a common given name. But I definitely feel like it’s given him a powerful presence. You’d never guess how sensitive he is in these moments. But he steps into Octavius when he needs to, even if it is to my embarrassment xD.
Amazing name, reminds me of Dr. Octavius.
Very strong masculine, but pretentious sounding name.
The name Octavius was given to 13 boys born in the US in 2016.
I think it would be a good name for an octopus.

Octavius is a good, solid, strong, masculine name. I love its Ancient Roman roots. :)
David Octavius Hill (Born: 1802, Died: May 17, 1870) was a Scottish painter and arts activist.
Call me crazy but this is one of my guilty pleasure names. Nothing I'd name a child though.Just sounds so cool! And bad ass (:
The eight son of the British King George III was (appropriately) named Prince Octavius. He was born in 1779 and died at the age of four.

I think Octavius sounds like a strong, brave name as it is ancient Roman. It would have suited a Roman soldier.
