I really love this name. Very simple, mysterious, and cool. It’s quite common but this name is really good! If my name was Niko, I'd feel like i can rizz up everyone lol!
This name actually sounds feminine to me when spelled with a k instead of a c since i am used to names ending in "ko" being feminine because I'm used to Japanese naming rules. My brain has difficulty thinking of this name as masculine only but i don't really care about fitting in with how i think.
This is the name of the commander of the Wicked Witch’s legion of winged monkeys in the movie “The Wizard of Oz”. It is spelled with two Ks however. He is played by Pat Walsh.

Niko is the protagonist of the video game Oneshot. They have a humanoid cat child who has to return the ligh tbulb that functions as the world's sun to its place. Their name is derived from Nikola Tesla, the Japanese word "nikko" (meaning "sun") and the Japanese word "neko" ("cat").

Used in Greece, which is a short form of Nikolaos or anything that ends with the Greek element νικη (nike). It is written Νικο.
