This name is lovely and has a sweet meaning. It could really fit in anywhere, but still sound out from all the rest. Looking at the popularity charts, it's good to see Nayeli getting some recognition.
This site says that it means "open" as in "the window is open":http://www.native-languages.org/mailbag/nayeli.htmThis is the complete entry:Not exactly. "Nayeli" means "open" in Zapotec, as in "the window is open."This is probably a conflation of two different Mexican names. In the Yaqui language (a Uto-Aztecan language of northern Mexico and Arizona), "Naiyoli" means "precious" or "cherished." That is pronounced nye-o-lee and is probably the true source of the name Nayeli. The word "nadxieelii" (pronounced nah-jee-ay-lee,) on the other hand, does mean "I love you" in Zapotec (a language of southern Mexico,) and is the source of the Mexican name Nachieli, which some baby name sites may have confused with Naiyoli.http://www.native-languages.org/mailbag/nayeli.htm
I want to name my kid Nayeli. I'm Zapotec, and I think that would keep my roots running in the family.

Nayeli is a beautiful name! Both pronunciations (Nay-Ellie or Nai-Ellie) are gorgeous. The meaning is gorgeous too. It’s special and sounds both feminine and strong. It’s a little gem. Love it!
I am sorry, but this name does not mean 'I love you' according to a trustworthy website which debunks this mistaken belief: http://www.native-languages.org/mailbag/Nayeli.htm"Nayeli" means "open" in Zapotec, as in "the window is open." [noted -ed]

I love my name, Nayeli. I have been trying to find more history and origin behind it. My father named me. We are from Mexico DF, city. And my parents tell me it's Naguatle. I believe I am spelling the tribe's name wrong. As I advance in my research, I will post a comment with my findings :) I should've given my daughter Camila, Nayeli as her middle name. I should change it!
My son and daughter in law (French and living in France) have chosen this beautiful name for their future baby girl who will born in November 2017. I can't wait to see my little granddaughter. This name is not common in France, but maybe more known here in USA?

The name Nayeli is really pretty and the meaning for my name is so pretty. I love it but the thing I hate about my name is that they CAN'T pronounce it well and that's what I hate about my name but I still love it!
It's not a real person, but the protagonist of Luis Alberto Urrea's novel Into the Beautiful North is named Nayeli. Really made me fall in love with that name.
I love this name! Because that's what my parents named me. But I used to hate it because people didn't know how to pronounce it, but as I got older I learned to love it. I looked it up in the internet and loved the meaning "I love you". It's BEAUTIFUL, people compliment it all the time. It's so unique.

I love the meaning of this name. It is my daughter's name. I looked up the definition because the priest asked me the reason and/or meaning of her name before her baptism.
