I think this name is perfect and androgynous
French unisex names are so beautiful.
I'm a trans man who hates my deadname but still hasn't found one for me, and I've been hesitating on this name for years now. It's a name I find beautiful, that fits how I wanna present myself and that inspires me to accept how I look and love myself anyways, but I'm scared for some reason, maybe of being seen as pretentious? I'm trying to find the courage to tell a friend who's always supported me that I'd like to try this name for a while, and rereading this page along with the community impressions and comments is making my resolve stronger, so thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart.
Common French-Canadian name in the 19th century. But from the genealogy records, it is almost exclusively masculine. Never seem it used for women.
Narcisse Pérodeau (1851-1932) was a Canadian politician.
Narcisse is also the French name for the narcissus flower. [noted -ed]
Very rare.
Narcisse can also be the French form of the female name Narcissa. [noted -ed]
I like this name. To me, it doesn't sound as pompous as Narcissus.
