The Nao-part (直) in Naoko means "straight" as in "straight, honest, frank". It has nothing to do with your sexual orientation.People need to stop trying to apply their own culture to Japanese names. Aiko (love + child) doesn't mean "love child" as in "child born out of wedlock". This term doesn't exist in many non-English speaking countries. It simply means "love child" as in "beloved/loving child". Naoko means "straight child" as in "straight, honest child". Maybe the word "honest" should be added to the description as it appears as such in the dictionary.
