Najma (Arabic: نجمة) is a district in Qatar, located in the municipality of Doha. Considered to be one of Doha's older districts, the bulk of Najma's commercial and office spaces are located along the arterial roads of Airport Street, C Ring Road and B Ring Road.
Najma (Hindi: नज़मा) is a 1943 Indian film directed by Mehboob Khan and starring Ashok Kumar and Veena. The film's music is by Rafiq Ghaznavi with lyrics by Anjum Pilibhiti. Najma was the first film under Mehboob Khan's Mehboob Productions banner. Khan paid Kumar Rs. 1 lakh for his role in the film, a record at the time. Due to its financial success upon release, the film became a blueprint for Muslim socials that followed.
Najma Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi academic. She is pioneer in establishing women studies in Bangladesh. She founded the Women and Gender Studies department of the University of Dhaka in 2000. She was an advisor in the first caretaker government in 1996. She was awarded Ekushey Padak in research in 2008.
Najma Abdullah Idrees (Arabic: نجمة عبدالله إدريس; born 25 December 1952) is a Kuwaiti poet, columnist and scholar. Idrees started writing as a poet and researcher since her early university years, and has published most of her early works on Al-Bayan magazine which is issued by the Kuwaiti Writers Association.
