Nándor is an ancient Hungarian name. Hungarians called a group of Bulgarians simply: "nándor". For example: Belgrade's ancient name was Alba Bulgarica (Bulgarian white fort) aka Nándorfehérvár (where "fehérvár" means alba and nándor means Bulgarian). Hungarians have already called Belgrade Nándorfehérvár in XIV century! In XIX century (under the Hapsburgs) the name Nándor recovered as the Hungarian version of Ferdinand (a name of Austrian emperors), but the roots of name Nándor are much older! [noted -ed]
