But according to a Russian source, Murman is an Arab-Persian name that means either "my dream" or "man's dream". It is then derived from Arabic مُرَاد (murād) meaning "wish, desire" (see Murad) combined with Persian من (man) meaning "I, my, me" or even the Indo-European root man meaning "man".In Georgian literature, Murman is the name of a character from the medieval Georgian folk epic Eteriani.
