Munir Sarhadi (Urdu: منیر سرحدی‎ 1931 – May 23, 1980) was a Pashtun-Pakistani instrumentalist, sarinda player and a folk singer. As a musician, he represented Pakistan in several countries. Munir, in 1978 became the recipient of Pride of Performance, a civil award conferred by the Government of Pakistan.
Munir Said Thalib (8 December 1965 – 7 September 2004) was an Indonesian activist. The founder of the Kontras human rights organisation and laureate of the 2000 Right Livelihood Award. Munir was assassinated in 2004 while travelling to Utrecht University to pursue a Master's degree in international law and human rights. He is one of Indonesia's most famous human rights and anti-corruption activists.
Munir Ahmed Niazi, (April 1928 – 26 December 2006) was an Urdu and Punjabi language poet from Pakistan. He also wrote for newspapers, magazines and radio. In 1960, he established a publication institute, Al-Misal. He was later associated with Pakistan Television, Lahore and lived in Lahore till his death.
Munir Bashir, the King of Oud (Arabic: منير بشير‎, Syriac: ܡܘܢܝܪ ܒܫܝܪ‎) (1930 – September 28, 1997) was an Iraqi Assyrian musician and one of the most famous musicians in the Middle East during the 20th century and was considered to be the supreme master of the Arab maqamat scale system.
