Miu (海羽) Suzaki (須崎), b. 1999, is a Japanese pair skater. With her skating partner, Ryuichi Kihara, she is a two-time Asian Open Trophy medalist and the 2017 Japan national champion. They have competed at the Four Continents Championships and on the Grand Prix series.
Miu Sakamoto is a Japanese pop singer. She is the daughter of musicians Ryuichi Sakamoto and Akiko Yano. Miu Sakamoto is the voice provider for Yamaha's Vocaloid Mew. Mew was a starter Vocaloid released alongside the VOCALOID3 software, with VY1V3.
Miu is also the (nick)name of a character in Haruki Murakami's novel, Sputnik Sweetheart. She's the love interest of the character Sumire, and I do believe the name fits well.
It makes me think of a lolita anime girl with giant bows in her hair, who always says 'nya!' and makes peace signs. No matter. I agree with the user above me, it would be a really cute name for a cat.
I think this is a good name for someone's pet kitty, or even a cat character in a manga or anime. The reason I think this is because of the name's pronunciation (or at least how I say it): it's said like "mee-ooh", like a sound a cat might make.
Miu is also the name of one of the female characters from the Japanese Manga, DearS. It is an abbreviation of her full name, which is Shianostal Rennagregyug Tanast Ausem Ruki Miu. She is a bit bossy and a perfectionist, but has a sweet, loving heart.
