I really like this name and I plan to change my name into Mihaela. It's similar enough to my given name so people can still call me by my birth name but a much nicer version of it. Doing it this summer. My parents don't approve.

I'm Bulgarian and currently live in England so people find it confusing that I don't have a c or k in my name to make that ch sound, but I thought my name was Bulgarian not Romanian :(

The correct pronunciation in Romanian of my middle name is exactly the same as for the Croatian language: Mee-hah-el-ah. I should know;)
