I honestly think Michelangelo is a beautiful name. It sounds so classy, strong and majestic. It is elegant and artistic, and I think it ages perfectly. I get that it would be a lot to live up to, but people name their kids after heroic figures all the time, such as John, Esther, and even Jesus, and they're fine. Plus, as someone who has personally witnessed the immense beauty and artistry of the Sistine Chapel, I can tell you that it is absolutely gorgeous; it would be an honor, in my opinion, to share a name with this gifted artist. Overall, I think Michelangelo is a gorgeous name.
It's only one letter longer than Christopher. Not that long.
Maybe a bit lengthy, but still a great name. The nickname “Mikey” is always an option. Cowabunga, dudes! :P.
I love it for being "extra".
Too long.
I wouldn't use, but I think this is one hell of a name.
So extra.
Agreeing with kayisforkeen here. Maybe his parents are art geeks, I don't know.
The name Michelangelo is perfect. It's beautiful, handsome, elegant & classy (this name absolutely deserves all the positive adjectives one can think of). Thanks to TMNT, I know about this name. :D.
This name sounds too much for a child to live up to. Michelangelo created lovely works of art, and I don't think anyone mowadays can copy them. It also makes me think of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
I simply love this name. I already have a plan for my son as he grows with this name. As a small child I'll call him Mickey, then as a teenager I'll call him Mick then he'll probably like Michelangelo by the time he's an adult. I love the relation with Mick Jagger and of course, Michelangelo himself.
It would sound hopelessly pompous on a person today.
Ok, I would definitely consider this a name for a future son. It sounds brave, and it sounds much better than Michael. But as a middle name though, because immature children would make fun of him.
I LOVE this name, Michelangelo is my fave Ninja Turtle, and I love the painter's paintings and sculptures. I am consdering this for a son.
I like how this name has two well-known names, but the name itself is hardly used.
