There is a character named Meyer Wolfsheim in the novel The Great Gatsby. He's a Jewish gangster rumored to have fixed the World Series, and is in fact based on real-life gangster Arnold Rothstein who was responsible for the Black Sox Scandal of the 1919 World Series.
