Means "the beloved". In Egyptian mythology she was a goddess associated with rejoicing, singing, and dancing. She is considered to possibly be a wife of Hapi, hence the meaning of her name. Being a token wife of Hapi, she is usually depicted with imagery similar to his, such as a papyrus plant or blue lotus, and sometimes depicted with an offering bowl since, symbolic of her receiving Hapi's generosity.
