Maebh was the most powerful Queen in Ireland and her husband almost as powerful. She had one bull more than him and both were determined to get the white bull for themselves. As the white bull entered her land there was a bloody battle and the white bull was killed by Maebh's so she remained the ruling Queen. It is a powerful name.

Attested form MEDB is from the Tain Bo Culaigne. No accents, no 'H's in the period literature. But the regularised version would be 'MEDHBH,' still not this entry.
