This name would only suit a really manly man. Not a girly man. On second thought, it would be interesting for a feminine male to be named Manley. It gives him character. It’s barely a ridiculous name now that I think about it. I feel like this name could suit a girl too. It rhymes with Kimberly after all. It’s just that this name sounds tacky because it’s the word “manly”, and people think that all males are manly.
In 2018, 65 is the most common age for an American (U.S.) Manley who is registered male with the Social Security Administration. It is the 8300th most common male first name for living U.S. citizens.

While I do find the name Manley amusing, I'd really appreciate it if people could stop using the slur "tranny." Please and thank you.
Erb816, these people just don't understand that a male with the name Manley who may turn out feminine is an interesting pun and that's not a bad thing. The name Manley works best on an ultra-masculine strong handsome guy! But on a feminine or ultra-feminine wimpy pretty guy, it's still fine! The suffix doesn't strike me 100% masculine at all! It could work for a girl too!

Manley was given to 6 baby boys born in the USA (2015).
Manley is an awful name for so many obvious reasons. For instance, a gay guy (especially one of those incredibly annoying, over the top feminine ones) wouldn't be able to pull off this name at all. Same with any trannies. Actually, no guy would really pull this off because it would be far too much to live up to and he would endure a lifetime of mockery regardless of his sexuality; gay or straight.

Would be HYSTERICAL if a feminine male had this name. Or a tranny.

The middle name of poet Gerard Manley Hopkins. I guess it's the only non-fictional/nicknamey example of a serious use of Manley. >.>
This is a dumb name. What if Manley turns out to not be very "manly" after all? This sounds like a name parents want to use to force machismo onto their child.
It would be damn funny if a boy named Manley turned out to be transsexual or just feminine. This name just screams ''my dad suffers from anxious masculinity and my mother is a ditz''.
