I was really surprised at the origin of this name. I've only encountered it among white French-speaking people and assumed it was just a variation on Maeve. I feel like the similarity has to have something to do with it. It's a cool name!
All the vowels just look randomly thrown in, they don't really fit.

I absolutely love love the name Maeva. It's cute and beautiful. It's the new more modern version of the old classic name Maeve or Mavis. I love the nickname Maeve.
One of my favourite girls name ever! I love the name Maeva! I think it’s beautiful! I love old names made more modern & this just kills that for me! Maeve is still very beautiful and could be used as a nickname! My friend has a tradition in her family - all girls names must start with the letter M - I hope she uses this name!
I like the version Maëva (pronounced Mah-eh-vah), I think it sounds absolutely beautiful.

If this name was pronounced as 'may-vuh' then I would add it to my list /: Much prefer that pronunciation.

I really like how this name sounds and the meaning -- "welcome." It feels like if a parent gives child this name, they are welcoming their baby into the world.

Maeva is a great name. I love Maeve and Méabh, but they are so overused in Ireland. Maeva is a lot more unique, and it's a very beautiful name. Even nicer than Maeve, I must confess. I really like it. I think it would suit any sort of girl.

Since my last name is Maeva it does have a lasting impression. The name was given to me by my father, and his father was from American Samoa, which seems to be a large family in the islands. The e is silent and is actually pronounced more with an long a sound Ma'ava, something do do with the actual vowels recognized in their alphabete.
