I love the banner for this name. This name sounds mystical, like the name of a princess or a fairy, or a graceful elf. I love the nickname 'Lyr', too.

I think this name is alright. It’s definitely modern and I prefer classic names. I am a BIG fan of the name ‘MELODY’, though, but I love how the name Lyric has to do with music. I can picture an energetic, ambitious, strong girl with this name :)
I absolutely love the beautiful name Lyric. It's just so melodic (pun unintended) and serene. Also, music has always held a special haven in my heart. I've already chosen gorgeous names for future kids (if I have any), but I would definitely consider Lyric as an additional middle name. I think it's wonderful. I also love Lyrics, as well.
My sister’s name is Lyric and all she has received is compliments. People speak to her just because they read her name tag. She’s also been told that it’s a “stage name”. Believe it or not, though, people have butchered her name as “Lyrica” or “Lie-rick”.
My son is Lyric Sebastian, born in 2019. Definitely a beautiful gender neutral name. My daughter is Skylar Lee-Susan. When I introduce my children as Skylar and Lyric, I always get compliments on their names. I also have an unusual name- Sabra. I dislike how no one can ever pronounce it correctly (SAY-bruh). I wanted a name for my children that was unusual but not unheard of. Lyric’s father and I debated on a few different names- Emrys, Parzival, Tristan, and Eslin were all considered. But when we hit Lyric, we both knew it was perfect. We are both musically inclined. And I think it ended up being the perfect name for my son- even at 1 year old, he sings all the time.
I love Lyric for a name, I think it's beautiful. Especially if a name like Story followed it, because that could resemble how lyrics and songs tell beautiful stories. I believe there is so much power in the meaning of a name. I truly do believe that.
I think Lyric is a very delicate and graceful name :). My cousin is named this and I'm so jealous.

I named my daughter Lyric. She loves her name. A lot of people like it as well... at least that's what they tell me. Her name is Lyric Lucille H____. If I had another daughter I would name her Autumn.
I named my baby boy Lyrik Leonard back in 2017. No regrets for anyone concerned. It suits him so well. :)

I much prefer this as a female name. People saying it should be Lyrica for a girl instead low-key bother me. I don't want my kid to be named after a medicine, thank you very much.
I love the name Lyric for a girl! It’s so beautiful and elegant! I agree with this name being unisex, but to me Lyric sounds more like a girl's name than a boy's name. The name Lyric has some feminine characteristics since music is a female stereotype. I can’t imagine this on boys at the current moment.

The name Lyric was given to 220 boys in the U.S. in 2017.
Lyric is a gorgeous name. It is feminine, it's creative, it's musical and my daughter loves her name. I'm so sick of people having opinions on everything, we named our children what we want I don't say anything when you name your kids Aaron and Aaron sounds like a boy's name but that's what they do. I wanted my daughter to have a simple name- her name is Lyric and she walks around and she sings all day long it wouldn't be any different if she didn't sing or if she didn't play an instrument it's just a beautiful name.
We have the freedom to name our children whatever we want to name them. I picked out this name for my daughter her name is Lyric Lashey. It is different and I love it, I never heard it being used for a male it doesn't sound unisex to me and Lyrica is a medication I wouldn't want to name my daughter that. We have this thing we call freedom of speech and everyone in America always has an opinion and it's not always positive. Different names are unisex, Lyric is not unisex like Melanie, Harmony and Lyric. I hate that everyone has to have an opinion about everything about what people name their kids or their children. I hate that everyone has an opinion about everything. I named my daughter Lyric because that's what I wanted to name her and I'm quite sure that you named your children what you wanted to name them and you didn't care about anyone's opinion. I hate that we have an internet for people to voice what they want to say and make other people feel uncomfortable. I love this name and I don't care about what you all think about it.
It's ok. By itself, it sounds very interesting and I'm a fan or the "lyr" part, admittedly. If it is for a girl (which I prefer) I think Lyrica, while not having as much meaning, flows better with a last name like Johnson or something like that. Though, I would not use either Lyric nor Lyrica. It sounds nice, but it doesn't seem like it will hold up well with others.
The name Lyric was given to 213 boys born in the US in 2016.

I have a daughter named Lyric. I chose Lyric, over lyrica, Why? Lyrica is a diabetes medication. No thanks. That's super unattractive. Could you imagine being a young girl watching tv and discovering you're named after a medication used for diabetes?
I like this name and if you like\love it as well and are considering using it for your little guy, some combos I have paired with it that you are more than welcome to take a look at are: Lyric Raimi Lyric Ross Lyric Rylan Lyric Sawyer Lyric Parker Theodore Lyric Morgan Lyric Nolan Lyric Thomas Lyric Shannon Lyric Miles Lyric Sebastian LyricIf you prefer Lyric for aboy of course (as I do) personally, I love Lyric for a boy and hate it for girls.

I much prefer Lyric on males and wished that it was higher among the name charts on their side. I don't care for Lyric on a girl. It seems way too masculine and boyish and not at all a proper girl name. If I were to ever use this name for any of my children, it would definitely be for a son.

In my personal opinion I think the name is awesome. My daughter's name is Lyric Lyn and Everyone I meet thinks it is an awesome name. Even my mother-in-law hated it at first, but now she's in love with the name.

My name is Lyric, and I personally don't like the name. My dad named me Esther Reese B. But my mother named me Lyric Aailiyah Rose C. The name is great, I sing a lot and always make music but, I still don't like the name.
My name is Lyric and when I go new places everyone needs me to repeat my name. I used to get really annoyed by it but now I'm accustomed to it and my friends also like the name. Everyone asks me why my parents picked my name! I think Lyric could be a girl or boy name. I am a girl named Lyric but once I was at Great Wolf Lodge and there was a boy named Lyric.
This being a name is very new to me. I like the meaning of it and I get why this can be a possible choice for music lovers. It's not really for me though. I do think it's cool as a stage name or for a fictional character. I can see this name working for boys, not just for girls.

Lyric is my name so I love it and everyone says it's a boys name but I'm a girl.
I think this name sounds so cool, but I agree that Lyric has a slightly masculine edge to it. I prefer the Italian version, Lirica, as a strictly feminine name.

This really does seem more masculine to me. It also has kind of a fantasy-esque sound to it and it definitely sticks out. But I do love it for a boys' name. (I like Lirica for a girl.)
In all my classes there really is no "Stand-out" name. But I know a boy named Lyric. It's a super cool name for a boy, and considering I'm a songwriter that makes me like it more but NOT for a girl.
I first heard the name "Lyrica" today, and I thought it was very pretty in a different way! "Lyric" sounds more like it would be a male name, and "Lyrica" would be the female version of the name. Kinda like Eric and Erica.
It's not a name I would personally choose, but I think it's sweet, especially if the parents are, say, singers, because it's a word that can really hold some special meaning to people (as can lyrics, haha).
It sounds like a tacky name young and immature people would pick for their daughter. Besides, I am rather annoyed by people who seem to consider lyrics important. The best tracks in the world often don't have vocals to begin with. I think anyone who insists on ''deep'' lyrics just doesn't really appreciate music for itself, and should stick to poetry. And really, this name will not score your child credibility points.
I always thought of the name Lyric being more of a masculine name, although it sounds fine a girl. I agree with the above poster, this name should be unisex.
I think this name should be unisex. I'm writing a story, and the male lead's name is Lyric. I don't think it sounds especially feminine, and it's obscure enough that most people generally wouldn't know the difference.
