Roman cognomen which was derived from Latin luscinus meaning "one-eyed", which itself is ultimately derived from the Latin adjective luscus meaning "one-eyed, half blind" (see Luscus). This name is not to be confused with Lucinus. Also compare Luscinia.This name was borne by Gaius Fabricius Luscinus, a Roman consul from the 3rd century BC.
