Lucrezia Millarini is a British journalist. She hosts GMB 6 o'clock news.
I love this name! It's old, powerful, and I like the 'z' because it makes the whole name sound more vibrant. Of course, there's Lucrezia Borgia, but since she actually wasn't a demon poisoner or anything and she was really a woman who backed the arts in her duchys and was well-liked by many contemporaries, that suits me just fine!
I love the name Lucretia, and I possibly like the sound of Lucrezia even better. However (even though I'm of Italian descent), I think using Lucrezia in America would be asking a lot of people to spell/pronounce my daughter's name wrong. Now, if I lived in Italy, this wouldn't be a problem... :-)
Reminds me about Lucrezia Borgia, of course. But it's fine, cause she had beauty and charizma.
My friend's name is Lucrezia, parents named her after famous Lucrezia Borgia.
In Italy Lucrezia was very popular in the Renaissance (between the 15th and the 16th centuries). Nowadays it has become rather fashionable, especially in the upper class, without being overused.
The pronunciation is loo-KRETT-tsyah. [noted -ed]
Pronounced akin to "loo-CRETZ-ya."
Lucrezia of Final Fantasy VII, anyone? And there's Lucrezia Bori, a celebrated Spanish opera singer.
No, the character in Final Fantasy VII is called Lucrecia Crescent. Lucrecia is the Spanish form of Lucretia.
This is a lovely name. I'm sure most people have heard of Lucrezia Borgia.
