I have a cousin named this. It can sound nerdy or backwoods-country, so much so that it’s endeared itself to me, like a runty puppy that nobody loves. Dear, I hope that doesn’t sound too mean and snobby, it really is a decent name, friendly and down to earth. Lin or Linny or Ford make charming nicknames. I would name a cat or a character in historical fiction this.
