I have enjoyed this classic, underused gem for a long while; it's breathtaking, in my opinion! I like to pronounce it "Luh-VAY-duh," the only way that I've heard it said (at least here, in South Carolina). I also think that this name has many qualities that modern namers would enjoy. It's quite beautiful name for a girl, if you ask me!
