Pronounced basically like "lactose" only with "-na" on the end instead.
I think it comes from the same root as "lactose" or something.
I might be wrong but I don't see how Lachtna can be related to the word for milk, báinne.
Lacht is the old Irish word for milk. Bainne comes from old Irish bannae meaning drop.
To me this is a pretty female sounding name though.
