Meaning & History
From Sino-Vietnamese 雒龍君 (Lạc Long Quân) meaning "Dragon Lord of the Lạc Việt", the name of a group of ancient tribes that inhabited northern Vietnam and southern China in the 3rd century BC. In Vietnamese mythology, Lạc Long Quân is a legendary ruler and the husband of Âu Cơ. He is honoured as the father of the modern Vietnamese people.
