I think it is possible that this originated as an anglicized form of the Arabic name خيريّ (Khayri). Variant spellings are Khyree and Khyri, as borne by American football player Khyri Thornton (1989-). The name Khiry was popularized by American R&B singer Khiry Abdulsamad (1973-) of the band The Boys; '[t]heir fourth single "Crazy" became their third R&B #1 in the fall of 1990' (Wikipedia). The band members are brothers Khiry, Hakeem, Tajh and Bilal Abdulsamad.
I love this name when spoken in the original Greek manner, "Keer-ee-ey". Unfortunately it seems most people pronounce it as just Kylie with an R. Conflicted with this as a baby name as I can see getting really annoyed with constantly correcting folks.
Similar name to Kylie, however, Kyrie looks a lot better, sounds stronger and is just a great name. Can't say the same about Kylie. Good, Kyrie is good!
I accidentally pressed on this name when asked to name my character's son on Bitlife. The fact that it sounds a lot like "Kylie" doesn't make it sound like a masculine name at all.
You know that it isn’t a masculine name. It’s actually 100% feminine according to the poles for this name. Also it’s 100% bad! No offense to males named Kyrie! I’m just defining the resource on this website:/
