Meaning & History
Derived from Georgian ქრისტესი (kristesi) meaning "of Christ". Kristesi is also the name of a village in Georgia. This name is best known for being the name of the blessed Kristesia (c. 1691-1771), a Mingrelian saint whose birth name was Kristepore. As a result, the name Kristesia is often equated with Kristepore, or at least assigned to that name on the ecclesiastical calendar.
