Meaning & History
The first element of this name is derived from either the Greek adjective κελευστός (keleustos) meaning "commanded, ordered" or from the Greek noun κελευστής (keleustes) meaning "boatswain". Both are ultimately derived from the Greek verb κελεύω (keleuo) meaning "to urge, to drive on" as well as "to command, to order". The second element of this name is derived from the Greek noun ἀνήρ (aner) meaning "man".
