Meaning & History
Means "east, history" or "ancient times" in Hebrew. Kedem was the name of a group of nomads in the stories of the Bible, who migrated eastward through the Arabian desert and were called "Bnei Kedem". They were known for their understanding and determination, Kedem was also the name of one of the waterfalls in the garden of Eden: "The LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east" ("וַיִּטַּע ה' אֱלֹהִים גַּן בְּעֵדֶן מִקֶּדֶם") (Genesis 2:8)
