Meaning & History
From 数 (kazu) meaning "number, amount." Other kanji used in relation include 和 meaning "sum," 計 meaning "measurement, weighing," 知 meaning "wisdom" or any kanji referring to numbers, such as 一 meaning "one," 二 meaning "two" or 五 meaning "five."
