In Greek mythology, Kassandra (also known as Alexandra) was a daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy and the twin sister of Paris. Her beauty caused Apollo to grant her the gift of prophecy. I absolutely love this name. It's been my pen name (and online persona) for quite some time now and I plan on legally changing my name to Kassandra within a year or so. After all, it is so beautiful and powerful and aristocratic and so much better than my current name. In my opinion, this is one of the more beautiful names out there.

My niece's name is Kassandra. I can't see her with the name spelled with a 'C'. It just wouldn't suit her, for some reason.
