Kaolin

Kaolin aka China clay is a kind of rock used in the production of china porcelain. While naming babies after gemstones is pretty normal, a mineral like Kaolin is an extravagant choice.

Sounds like some type of martial art. I find this name very hideous.

Kaolin is a great name. Personally, I think it sounds better for girls, but either way I like it a lot. It's a nice name for girls, I think, but it can sound great with a boy also.
