Kamryn is a gorgeous name. I am a fellow Kamryn. I go by Kami or Kam sometimes. Thanks for choosing the name Kamryn, Dad.

My wife and I picked the name Kamryn for our son. We wanted a name that looked different from the original Cameron because most people associate that spelling with the actress Cameron Diaz who as you know is a woman. So we wanted his name to be unique and special to us and him and spelling it this way made sense. We also gave him a middle name that's not your ordinary middle name. We chose Shay. We got this name because her grandmother was one of a kind and meant so much to us and her name was Shirley May so we took SH and added AY. We actually thought we were making up a name by doing this but we found out later there's a lot of people named Shay. For people to think that the name Kamryn is trash never met my boy- he's far from it. The way something is spelled doesn't mean anything- who are they to judge it?

Always liked the name Kam but thought it a bit plain for a girl, so I think it's perfect. The original Scottish spelling is Kamerun, from the 13th century, so I don't see how the spelling disrupts the meaning any. My surname is Scottish, has 4 different spellings in Scotland, but only one is very common. Being the most common doesn't make it the most correct!

Why is everyone saying Kamryn is a trashy name? It is cute and creative and MUCH more unique than boring old Cameron.
My name happens to be Kamryn which is pronounced differently than the 'boy' spelling Cameron. Mine is pronounced Kam rin while Cameron is pronounced Cam er ron. It is not a 'spin off' but more so an original name. It is also not a feminine name. When pronounced it sounds slightly rougher, not cute.

I think that Kamryn is a quite lovely name for a girl. My younger cousin has that name and it's a beautiful name.

Oh god. Not only is there a *completely unnecessary* k in place of a c, but there's also a *completely unnecessary* y smack dab in the middle. That'll definitely make it feminine! Hah, no. 'Cameron' is a nice boy's name, but the sound of it is just not feminine. No matter how girly-cutesy you spell it, it's still gonna sound like a boy name when you say it.

My sister (whom is older than me by a year) bares this name. In my personal opinion, this name is not "ridiculous". I feel this name suits her well! I'd rather name a child this than a lot of crazy-sounding names parents and young-teen moms are coming up with these days to sound more "unique".

Don't like it. Kamryn sounds even more nauseating with that "special" K in it.
This spelling is positively feral. How low rent!Talk about removing any connection with the Scottish surname. You have it in sound but it looks like someone went to town with an axe and spray paint on it.

I love Kamryn for a girl. I think Cameron is more for a boy.
Kamryn is anything but cute and girlie. It looks rather ridiculous to me. Cameron was a great name until the girls and their "cute" spellings came along.
I absolutely LOVE this name! It makes me so happy and it is such a girl's name. When I have my first girl, her name is no doubt going to be Kamryn Marie!
I sort of like this, especially as an alternative to the use of "Cameron" for a girl, which I think is too masculine. This seems rather cute actually, as the "K" and "y" seem to make it more feminine.
