Huh, I always thought that this was a German form of Cameron, since the letter c doesn't usually represent a voiceless velar positive in German, with it usually being coupled with an h to form a voiceless palatal fricative instead. Huh. The more you know, I guess!

I love the name Cameron, but to me it's too feminine. We went with Kameron (full name Kameron Shaun) instead, and I love the spelling. It's unique and looks more masculine to me. As well, our son is named for our favorite football players (Kam Chancellor and Shaun Alexander) and we love the tie-in!
