Meaning & History
Derived from the Greek noun κάλλος (kallos) meaning "beauty, nobility" combined with the Greek noun τέλος (telos) meaning "purpose, aim, goal" as well as "completion, accomplishment, fulfillment" (see Aristotle).A known bearer of this name was the Olympic victor Kalliteles of Sparta. He had won the wrestling contest during the 68th Olympiad in 508 BC.
