- Beatrix Potter's 1904 book The Tale of Benjamin Bunny is translated as Le Conte de Jeannot Lapin in French, and "Jeannot Lapin" has entered the French Canadian lexicon (and possibly among other francophones) as the name for the Easter Bunny.
