A fictional bearer of this name is Jane from the mobile game Path to Nowhere. She’s a sheriff and ex-bank robber, but she’s extremely competent, dedicated, and serious about righting wrongs and making up for what she’s done; she also has a very dry, deadpan sense of humor and makes jokes a lot.

Jane Marczewski (I think I spelled her last name right), better known as Nightbirde, was a contestant on America's Got Talent. Her original song, "It's Ok", got her a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell. She had been battling cancer and unfortunately had to drop out of the competition due to a decline in health. Sadly, she passed away in February of 2022. She was a woman of great faith in God, and left behind beautiful songs and inspiration.

Someone has already mentioned her, but the titular protagonist of ‘Jane and the Dragon’ was indeed one Jane Turnkey. Originally intended to follow in her mother’s footsteps as a lady-in-waiting to the princess, she instead turned her ambition to becoming the first female knight, proving her worth and right to train by rescuing the prince from a dragon at the age of 10. According to creator Martin Baynton, she later changes her name to Jane d’Ark, after learning that her maternal grandfather was also a knight, felled in battle — I wonder if the similarity to Jeanne d’Arc was intentional.
Mr. Jane Doe; better known as 'Soldier' was a self-titled war hero, fighting for the US army in the 40's, though not being employed by the US at all, but that didn't stop him from going on many nazi-killing rampages through WWII. He lived the rest of his days fighting in the mercenary conflict known as the 'Gravel Wars' throughout the late 60's and early 70's. I like this name.

Although not acknowledged in botanical publications, she wrote a number of letters resulting in botanist John Ellis writing to Carl Linnaeus of her work applying the Linnaean system of plant identification to American flora, "she deserves to be celebrated". Contemporary scholarship maintains that she was the first female botanist working in America. She was regarded as a respected botanist by many prominent botanists such as: John Bartram, Peter Collinson, Alexander Garden, and Carl Linnaeus.
