I love this name. I first heard of it when i read a book called GRANDPA CHATTERJI by a writer called Jamila Gavin. I only remembered and began liking the name lol. Anyway... i like it A LOT.
Jamila Afghani (born 1976 in Kabul) is a feminist and an activist for women's rights and education in Afghanistan. She is the founder and executive director of Noor Educational and Capacity Development Organization (NECDO). She is also an executive member of the umbrella organization, Afghan Women's Network (AWN).
Jamila Mejri (Arabic: جميلة الماجري, born Jamila Mejri Soudani; 1951 in Kairouan) is a Tunisian poet. She won the Aboul-Qacem Echebbi prize, in 2005 for her 38 poems, Dhakiratou Attaïer. She is the first woman to be elected President of the Union of Tunisian Writers at the Congress of December 2008.
