https://youtu.be/9Exn1nJo7ws (in Dutch; this bearer is Flemish and the name is said at 0:10 and 0:13 and 0:43 and 0:58)Converted to IPA, it should be: /'ja:k/ for the first clip, and /'ʒa:k/ for the second clip (with the French J-). [noted -ed]In the local dialect of the city of Antwerp, the name is pronounced more like /'ʒɒːk/, as is indicated here:https://www.vlaamswoordenboek.be/definities/33996 (in Dutch; "De uitspraak in Antwerpen is met de Franse J van Jean, en aa is oa zoals in oardig (aardig). Dus ongeveer zjoak.")
It's neat.
As an Estonian name, this was originally a medieval short form of Jaakob (not the proper form of the name): https://et.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaak

I love it! It's my style: I love this kind of short form for my name.
I think it's mean to name your kid Jaak. Poor kid will go his whole life with people constantly spelling his name wrong and taking second looks at it. You'll never be able to find any personalized stuff of any kind. It's original, yes. But too original. If you want to name your son that, just spell it normal.
Jaak is a totally normal name with a totally normal spelling in Estonia and Belgium.
