I am absolutely in love with this name. If I ever have a daughter I would love to name her Inessa. My mum's name is Agnieszka, and I was looking through names of the same root to potentially name a character (or child, if or when the time comes). I've never been a fan of the names Agnes or Ines, Agnes because it feels a little too old-fashined even in my opinion, and I love older, classical names and Ines is pretty, but it never wowed me either. Inessa on the other hand? I fell in love. It's just so pretty sounding, and since it shares the same root as my mum's name, even though I'm neither Ukrainian nor Russian, I knew this name was the one for a daughter.
Pronounced i-NYEHS-sə in Russian (I don't know how to type the superscript Y).

No, it isn't pronounced i-NYEHS-sə. It's i-NEHS-sə. Some foreign names (they have been adopted usually for a relatively short time, and haven't been fully adopted as "Russian" compared to traditional names) do not follow the "soft consonant" pattern in Russian, and Inessa is one of them.See the entry for Инесса on Wiktionary: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D0%98%D0%BD%D0%B5%D1%81%D1%81%D0%B0
