Very common in France, or at least around the Parisian region. We're like 5 in a single grade. But very simple and nice.

Inès Serrano is a character in Jean-Paul Sartre's play "No Exit".
One of my friends is called Inès and she is French. She totally agrees that the EYE-NEZ pronunciation sounds horrible.
Gorgeous name. I love female names that still manage to sound feminine and classy without being silly or over-the-top, or having too many vowels... Such as Tamsin, Hazel, or Niamh.
This name is really trendy in France, but I can actually understand why it's so popular. It's a beautiful name that carries a simple elegance. I don't like the English 'eye-NEZ' though, that sounds horrible when compared the the French pronunciation, I think.
I like it pronounced ee-NIZ. With an "Is". It just sounds right.
