I love this name. Inanna was a powerful and revered goddess (read Exaltation of Inanna by Enheduanna) and this name sounds good to modern ears and has a great meaning. Funnily enough, I knew an Inanna, and her brother was named Enlil. Their parents were Mesopotamian enthusiasts π.

It does have a heartbreaking back story, but I still think this name is alluring, and it has a beautiful meaning.
The backstory is sad but the name is really pretty in a unique way! It might be odd as a first name but it's a good hypothetical middle name to play around with.
I donβt really like the spelling, but itβs fine.

Inanna is a very interesting name. However to me it sounds like "Ooh-la-la" So I wouldn't use it. But nevertheless it's still a great name with rich history.
This is my first name (Inanna Kaya) and yes, everyone mispronounces it the first time but honestly they mispronounce Kaya too (it's like Maya with a K). I got used to it. Personally I find the stories that come with being named after the goddess really intriguing. And I've only ever met one other person with the same name.

This is quite a pretty name. It's got the mythological connections with the goddess, but I could also see it working for a real person as well. I recommend it.
This is my middle name and honestly, I hated it growing up. I already had an unusual first name (Luna) and I really just wanted one normal name. Of course, I can appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of the name now (although I do still have to spell it for people and explain the origin, which is a little annoying, but I can't really blame people for wanting to know more about it).
