It's okay as a nickname for Isaac or Isaiah, but I don't like Ike on its own.

Ike is a personal favorite nickname for Isaac, and I’m not sure whether I like Isaac alone or Ike as the nickname. The only thing that makes me uncertain is because of the Fire Emblem character, who is cool but it seems silly to name your son or daughter after a character.

I picture a humorous, athletic, and smart guy when I see this name. I also picture the hurricane in 2008.

I love this as a nickname for Isaac, which is one of my favorite names. Ike was what my grandpa always went by, and he was an incredible man. Though I don't know how he became known as Ike, because it is nowhere close to his given name.
