It's okay as a nickname for Isaac or Isaiah, but I don't like Ike on its own.

Ike is a personal favorite nickname for Isaac, and I’m not sure whether I like Isaac alone or Ike as the nickname. The only thing that makes me uncertain is because of the Fire Emblem character, who is cool but it seems silly to name your son or daughter after a character.
In the Nintendo Game Cube game "Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance" and the Nintendo Wii game "Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn", the main character and protagonist is named Ike.

The name IKE appears to have a very diverse origin. Amongst The IBO tribe of Eastern Nigeria (in West Africa), the name IKE (meaning MIGHT or POWER) serves similar purpose as the name Mac (or Mc) amongst the Irish (Mac Cormack, McNulty, MacDonald, MacAulay etc). IKE (IKEchukwu, IKEnna, IKEm, IKEchi, IKEmefula etc). Most people (exclusively male) who bear these names are usually called IKE and it is pronounced as – [EKAY]. Over the years however, the popularisation of the American version of the name has slightly influenced the way it is pronounced in Nigeria. Nevertheless, most IKE of IBO decent will accept either pronunciation American pronunciation IYCKE or the native pronunciation EKAY.
I love this as a nickname for Isaac, which is one of my favorite names. Ike was what my grandpa always went by, and he was an incredible man. Though I don't know how he became known as Ike, because it is nowhere close to his given name.
Another famous bearer was Ike Turner, a musician. He was most famously married to Tina Turner, who he worked with, and is a member of the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'.
Ike was the nickname of American President Dwight David Eisenhower; his campaign slogan was "I Like Ike." Ironically, his mother chose his birthname so he would not have a nickname. ;>)
