Hilbert Shirey is an American professional poker player.
Hilbert Van Dijk (1918 – 2001) was a Dutch-born Australian fencer. He was the son of Hilbert “Arie” Van Dijk (1908–1944) of Amsterdam. He captained the team épée at the 1956 Summer Olympics.
I was originally indifferent towards this name (at best), but I've warmed up to it over time. It might get a few odd looks, but at the very least it's memorable, easy to spell, and easy to pronounce.
This name sounds so dorky. I'm surprised Nintendo would name the male protagonist in Pokemon Black and White Hilbert. It sounds a little too old for a young guy.
Hilbert is the default name of the main character in Pokemon Black and Pokemon White.
