Meaning & History

From Japanese 聖 (hijiri) meaning "holy, sacred", or 日 (hi) meaning "day, sun" combined with 次 (ji) meaning "next" that is then combined with 凛 (ri) meaning "dignified, severe, cold", 璃 (ri) meaning "glassy, lapis lazuli" or 稜 (ri) meaning "majesty, power, angle, edge, corner". Other spellings are possible.
